Using Ministry Matters: Features & Tools

This guide is meant to be a helpful resource for navigating Ministry Matters and its libraries.

This pages contains information about the additional features and tools that are available within Ministry Matters. These are free but require a free account to utilize. Favorites and bookmarks are only available in the Research Library. In order to take advantage of these, you will need to log in.

Menu Options

These are the options that are available in the Research Library menu. You can view these by opening and item and selecting the Menu from the top right of your screen.

Bins

You can add any item within the libraries to a bin. According to Ministry Matters, "Bins are your own personal filing system to store great content you find while exploring Ministry Matters. To create a bin, you simply need to register on the site. Then when you see something you want to save for later, just click “Add to Bin,” and you can find it again any time by going to “Bins" after you login. You have the option of making a bin public or private when you create them. Private bins are not listed in a public bin directory, but they can be shared with anyone you choose by sending them a private URL."

To view/edit your bin, click "Your Account" and then Bins from the drop-down menu.

Favorites

You can add an item to your favorites so that you can find it easily later. Once you add an item to your Favorites, it will appear at the top of the list on the Research Library homepage.

Bookmarks

You can also add personal bookmarks to pages within resources. To do this, select Menu from the top right of your screen and click "Add Bookmark." A box will then appear. Enter a title and note, and press Save. A bookmark iconwill then appear on the page. You can click it to see the note and edit or delete it if needed.
