LGBTQ+ Resource Guide

Welcome to the LGBTQ+ LibGuide for the Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary community. This guide will help you discover some of the resources that are available in the library, at the seminary, and beyond. We hope that this guide is helpful for you as you research and seek more information. 

Types Resources

The Styberg Library as well as other libraries within the Northwestern University community have an array of resources about and for the LGBTQ+ community. This guide will showcase some of the books, articles, videos, and community resources that are available for the Garrett-Evangelical community. Use the tabs above to explore these resources.

Search Terms

When searching for LGBTQ+ resources, you may need to utilize a variety of search strategies. Here are some search words and phrases that may help you find useful resources. Some of the search terms may be outdated or offensive. Please know that the Library of Congress is always working to update and change these, but the process takes time.
