The Archives and Special Collections at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary contain many published and unpublished materials about the history of the seminary. Items from Garrett Biblical Institute, The Chicago Training School, Evangelical Theological Seminary, and Garrett Theological Seminary are all housed in the archives. This brief document details some of the key parts of Garrett's history. It was created by former President Ted Campbell.
"Celebrating 150 Years"
This short history of the first 150 years of the seminary is from the Spring 2004 issue of Aware. It includes many great historical photos.
Garrett-Evangelical History from Special Aware Edition
This special edition of Aware includes information about the history and architecture of the current building.
Garrett-Evangelical History Presentation
This presentation was used as a part of the history tour and contains many photos from the seminary's past.

Garrett Biblical Institute

Bennett Museum of Christian Archaeology
This article from 1912 discusses the museum which was a part of GBI for quite a few years.

This pamphlet details some of the Christian inscriptions that were a part of the Bennett Museum.
"Garrett Symbolism" by President Charles M. Stuart (1928)
The short guide to the symbolism present in the current seminary buildings is very interesting and was written by a former president.
The Garrett Pageant
This play was written and performed in 1930 for the 75th anniversary of Garrett Biblical Institute. It includes roles for Garrett's founders as well as historical photos.

History of Western Theological Seminary
This document contains information about the library of Western which later merged with Seabury to become Seabury-Western. In 1981, they formed the United Library with Garrett. Garrett later bought Seabury-Western's collection.
