Using Ministry Matters: New Interpreter's Bible Commentary

This page contains instructions for accessing The New Interpreter's Bible Commentary which is a part of the Legacy Library.

Instructions

First, log in to Ministry Matters. Ministry Matters is discoverable through USearch and is listed among the religion databases. There is also a direct link in the Quicklinks area of the library's homepage. Once you log in with your NetID, your browser will open to the homepage.

This commentary is located within the Legacy Library. To access the Legacy Library, first select the Research Library tab at the top of the homepage. Once the page loads, select the Legacy Library link.

 

When the Legacy Library page loads, select the Browse tab and expand the Biblical Commentaries section by clicking on the plus sign to the left of "Biblical Commentaries." Then, select The New Interpreter's Bible from the links.

The commentary should then appear in the view window in the center. To the right, you will see the Table of Contents and links for the entire twelve volume series. You can expand these and select the sections of interest by clicking on the text/link for each.

If the section is longer, you will have to scroll down.

To see how to search within this commentary or how to add an item to a bin, see the Tools & Options box on the Legacy Library tab

To print items, right click within the viewing window. You can then print physical copies or save them as PDFs.
